Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino

This was our first time in Vegas and I chose to stay here and I’m so glad I did. We’re right there at freemont street where the party goes on all night. You can get drunk and just walk back to your room. The service was great. The bed was probably the best one we’ve slept on in a long time as far as hotels are concerned. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip.

-Room is bigger than the other hotel in Fremont which is a big plus. -Bed is comfortable. -bartenders are really nice specially Brie and the other one. I think she's 5 foot like me ( sorry forgot her name) -C T Specialist Rommy G. Always give us a good deal for our accommodation. -close to restaurants and activities (Fremont) I wish the coffee shop would stay open longer though. But still this hotel is very recommended

Mr. Gregory (at FD) and the other staff at Downtown Grand are absolutely AWESOME. He was extremely patient, kind, knowledgeable and courteous at all times. Mr. Gregory helped me pick out the best room which was suitable to me and my needs. Most of all he & all the staff at Downtown Grand do everything they say they will do without reminders. He has a huge personality and a beautiful great smile. He is very welcoming and you feel it as soon as you walk into the lobby. He and the staff provide excellent customer service. I'm definitely coming back.

The rooms and hotel are clean. Good location for hitting up The Fremont Street experience. $3 hotdog and beer special. $5 sausage and beer special in the corner up front. Live jazz band on Saturday. Everyone I encountered at the registration desk was very helpful and polite. Only bad thing was that there is no late night eats in the hotel. Oh and no view.

Modern hotel downtown that feels different from the old-school Fremont properties. The rooms are clean and contemporary, the rooftop pool is fun, and the location is perfect for exploring Fremont and the Arts District. Prices are very reasonable. The casino is small but has a good vibe. Freedom Beat restaurant is surprisingly good. If you prefer downtown Vegas over the Strip, this is one of the best places to stay. Great value.

Not a luxury hotel, yet worth the price. Incredibly quiet despite being next to Fremont Street, huge plus. Very clean with lots of shelf + storage space. They did not have king beds for our stay but we were perfectly pleased with the queens. Comfortable with many pillows. I enjoyed the layout, there was a lot of privacy here, even in the hallway. There was a $50 surprise fee per night as a deposit on top of paying an initial $94 deposit...plus a $39 resort fee. The bar and restaurant are closed for the season, and the pool depends. Lots of space to hangout upstairs. The gym appeared high-quality and isolated. The resort fee is redundant during the winter because of this, in my opinion. The vending machine downstairs was broken. No toothpaste, fridge or microwave, breakfast or restaurant. We did not get water in our room after the 1st night. However, there are $3 beers and hot dogs in the casino, which is hard to beat. There is also a coffee bar open in the morning that sells light food. I'm OK with the no smoking, but there were not many places for a view or areas to do so on any balcony. Be prepared for the deposit and aforementioned lack of items. Otherwise, it was a nice experience.

The rooms are very clean, location was just at Fremont Street however there was no noise at all from the Fremont Street in the rooms which is a great plus. Other hotels had noise complaints as its loud at Fremont Street till very late night. So it's definitely a plus. Service was good. There's a cafe in the hotel where we can get pretty good coffe and breakfast. The table games and slots are limited. The offers given by hotel for casino use can be improved a lot, not decent offers.

Getting to stay at the Downtown Grand Hotel in Las Vegas has been an amazing experience every time. I’ve stayed here multiple times, and it continues to be one of my go-to spots when I’m in Vegas. One of the best parts of staying here is the valet service — especially Armando. He consistently takes great care of us, is always prompt and on time with our car, and is incredibly friendly and courteous. His professionalism and warm attitude truly stand out and make the experience feel personal. He’s honestly one of the main reasons I’ll keep coming back to the Downtown Grand. Great service like that makes all the difference.

I stayed at Downtown Grand in late August and had an absolute blast! Being just steps from Fremont Street was amazing — the energy never stops, and it always felt like the city was putting on a show just for me. The front desk agents were amazing and very friendly, making check-in smooth and welcoming. I also loved the $3 hotdogs and beer — a total steal and the perfect snack while gaming or people-watching. The rooftop pool is incredible, with killer views of the city, though the water had a slightly smokey look that made me raise an eyebrow. It was just a minor hiccup, and otherwise everything was fantastic. Honestly, I really wanted to give this review 5 stars, but that tiny issue kept me from doing so. All in all, Downtown Grand offers fun, lively vibes and great value. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it for anyone looking to soak in the classic downtown Vegas energy.

Very nice after remodel. Great little hotel casino in the downtown Fremont Street area. Unfortunately, there's limited food options on site, apparently due to remodel. They did have hot dogs and beer for $3 lol. They're also is a barista downstairs for coffee and small breakfast items. If you want food, you'll have to go across the street to the food court. These are the nearest options and are all counter-service/fast food. The new remodel Tower rooms are great. A little warm in the hallways but other than that no issue. Casino is small but does have table games still. We had a problem with one of the slot machines and it took forever to find anybody walking around to assist, whether it was a cocktail waitress or attendant. The small bar in the middle of the casino is great, decent payouts on the machines at the bar and the drinks were well made. We would have no issue coming back to this place in the future.
